Wiggins Airways Reports Fatal Aircraft Accident

MANCHESTER, NH – On August 22, 2023, at approximately 1745 Eastern, a cargo flight operated by Wiggins Airways of Manchester, New Hampshire was involved in a fatal aircraft accident in Litchfield, Maine on a flight originating from Lewiston, Maine.

There were two crew members on board the aircraft at the time of the accident. Authorities have confirmed both persons are deceased.

“We are filled with sorrow at the passing of our flight crew members,” said Wiggins Airways President Donna Nixon. “The identities of the pilots will not be released out of respect to their families and friends. Our focus is on supporting their families and our employees through this difficult time.”

The leased aircraft, a cargo-converted Beechcraft 99, is operated by Wiggins Airways.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are conducting a thorough investigation of the aircraft accident. Wiggins Airways is cooperating fully with authorities.
